NATPE elects co-chairs - Variety
Beggs, Khanna appointed to new posts
Lionsgate TV prexy Kevin Beggs has been elected co-chair of NATPE, while NBC Universal Intl. honcho Roma Khanna has been elected to a second term as co-chair of the programming org.
Beggs succeeds Hearst-Argyle TV veep Emerson Coleman as co-chair of the National Assn. of Television Program Executives. Coleman will remain a member of NATPE’s executive committee. Beggs will work alongside Khanna, NBC U’s prexy of global networks and digital initiatives, and NATPE prexy Rick Feldman in steering plans for the org’s conference and exhibition in Las Vegas in January.
Also newly elected to the NATPE board of directors are Chris Coelen, chief exec of RDF USA and Pangea Management Group; Tony DiSanto, exec veep of series development and programming at MTV; Jordan Hoffner, YouTube’s head of content partnerships; BET entertainment prexy Reginald Hudlin; Diane Robina, Comcast prexy of emerging networks; Lori H. Schwartz, senior veepee of Interpublic Emerging Media Lab; Fernando Szew, CEO of MarVista Entertainment; and Jon Vlassopulos, senior veep of digital media and branded entertainment at Endemol USA.
