I cannot comprehend how Orson Welles’ The Third Man is not on the list.

Only four films noir make the list: Sunset Blvd, Chinatown, Double Indemnity, and The Maltese Falcon. Out Of the Past at the very least should have made the final cut…

What I don’t get is why did only four films from the past ten years make the list. There were many films that deserved to make it like American Beauty, Crash, and most of all Boogie Nights.
Also I don’t understand how movies could move up and down the list so much. For example how does The Searchers go from being in the 90’s to being number 12.

Some new movies I agree with like “Toy Story” and “Saving Private Ryan.” What I find most disturbing about the list is who is now missing completely: James Dean, Frank Sinatra and even Mickey Mouse! And don’t get me started on “The Jazz Singer,” “Close Encounters,” and “Doctor Zhivago.” Shame on you!

My one question is, why is not a Charlie Chaplin film in the top ten, of AFI’s 100 years. . . 100 Movie List? Chaplin put Hollywood on the map.

My on;y statement is more people have seen “Wizard of Oz,” than “The Godfather.”
