LazBro Supports Independence

AFI FEST Daily News
When we caught up with AFI FEST sponsor LazBro, Inc., two of its executives were on the road, traveling together from Northern California back to their headquarters in Los Angeles.
“Why sponsor AFI?” asked COO Jennifer Samples. Because we¹re an independent agency, and we want to support individuality in the independent film industry. We want to support creativity, because we feel that’s who we are.”
Five-year-old LazBro, which is headed by “chief geek” and CEO Evan Lazarus, is a full service advertising agency, that helps clients leverage their brands by using the full complement of technology. The team works with a range of companies, including an olive oil concern, cosmetics manufacturers and real estate entities. Apart from traditional online media buying and planning, their clients tap them to create downloadable podcasts, viral applications or drive business through “social marketing” on Twitter and Facebook.
When the LazBro team takes a break from work to attend AFI FEST, Lazarus is most likely to see a documentary, while Samples would go for a shorts program. His favorite movie is TWELVE ANGRY MEN, while hers, no doubt inspired by being an Atlanta native, is GONE WITH THE WIND.
