Waiting for Guffman is one of those rare movies that seems to get better and better every time you watch it. The humor is subtle and dry and the acting is wonderful (Corky St Clair, played by writer/director Christopher Guest, is one of the funniest characters ever on screen in my opinion). The story, which is presented in mocumentary style, pokes fun at small-towners and community theater, but in a gentle way. Even the most over-the-top characters are likeable and sympathetic. I strongly recommend this movie to anyone who likes a break from slapstick humor.
