A brilliant film about the self serving Politicans who pretend to serve the people. Perhaps not the best screenplay ever, but a moving and thought provoking story.

V for Vendetta is a terrific film, that has everything you could want in a film, and it makes you think as well. It’s a great political film, as well as a love story. To not see this movie, would be a mistake. Although it is not my #1 favorite film of all time, it is most certainly up there. At this time, it is underrated, but hopefully in the future, it will be seen for what it is…a masterpiece.

After purchasing the DVD of this movie, I watched it about 15 over the next two months. I was fascinated by the story and the language. No other movie has had such a dramatic effect on me.

I know it’s based on a graphic novel but it has so much more personality than any movie nominated in the last 10 yeas. Its a bold portrail of the not-to-distant future with deep undertones that relate to todays political, governmental, and sociological concerns. It has an inspirational message that anyone from 8 to 80 can relate to and a storyline that would even keep my mom intrigued. This movie is absolutely the most underated film ever produced and it deserves recognition.

This movie is great in so many ways. It contradicts itself a few times which makes people think about it more. The hero of the story is a hero to us, but is doing criminal things. Also, the head of the government calls himself a chancelor but what he really is is a dictator. This movie is packed full of action, love, laughs, and it gives you the ‘what if’ thought. What if America wasn’t there anymore? What if all we know was taken away from us in a flash? That is what I love about this movie.

What can be said of this Great Movie that hasn’t been said?
I suspect in 50 years this will be the “Citizen Kane” of the 21st Century.
Assuming that we are still allowed to watch movies like this,
And Haven’t been “Orwellinized” or “out-lawed” by then.

In all honesty, this may not be my ULTIMATE favorite movie, but i just had to list it because for some reason this movie was “snoozed on” and is EXTREMELY underrated.

V for Vendetta had everything you could ask for in a movie: a sense of immediacy, political drama, intense action sequences, and a love story that did not once ring hollow or impure. With great performances by Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman, this movie deserves a place among the greatest films ever made.

Of all the movies that I have seen in theatres or rented or watched on cable television, absolutely NONE compare to the beauty and the story of the Wachowski brothers’s V for Vendetta. Based on the late 1980s graphic novel of the same name, Vendetta is a movie about revenge and freedom. Sounds like typical Hollywood, but it is far from it. “V”, as I like to call it, is a story within a story within a story, etc. It may sound hard to understand, and for first-time viewers it may be, but once you understand all it is trying to convey, it truly is a beautiful film about finding the strength to face your fears, and to overcome them. It is about bringing a tyrannical government to its knees, while reawaking its people to the woes of their choices. From now on, I will always compare EVERY SINGLE movie (or film, in which case V is a film, not a movie) to V for Vendetta. I highly recommend it to all who enjoy thinking about what they are watching, rather than just only being entertained by a bunch of nonsense.

So many reasons to love this film!
So many reasons to love this film! The dialogue is beautiful and the special effects are mesmerizing. Above all, the storyline is powerful and moving. This film provides the viewer with many things to think about and consider. I could watch it over, and over, and over…

Amazing how two people can unite a country.
I love seeing the story of two people the government doesn’t care about coming together and bringing a nation together to end evil.
