THE SOUND OF MUSIC

This movie is just absoulutely wonderful. It alows you to believe that this world still has some good in it. I love how she has every single one of the kids just fall in love with her. They know no one can compare to their mom, but they know that she really cares for them. I like how their dad is so protective of them, even though it is a little to protective at times. While watching this movie you fall in the with the cast. Towards the end you are out of your seat in suspense as they are running and hiding. Once they get away, you just never want it to end. This movie makes you appreciate your family, and gives you such a warm feeling. This is definately one of my favorite movies.

This movie is just wonderful, everything about it is wonderful. This movie proves that you can watch a movie without cursing, sex, or violence and enjoy it more than any other. Julie Andrews makes you care about the entire cast and has you rooting for them to get away at the end. As you watch the last scene, when Captain Von Trapp has little Gretel on his shoulders and they’re hiking up the mountain, you wish the movie wouldn’t end. You want to follow the family to wherever they are going and let the movie never end. That is what makes a great movie, when at the end, you’re wishing it would go on.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SOUND OF MUSIC. IT’S REALLY FUN TO WATCH, THE CHARACTERS ARE ALL WELL SET UP AND EXCITING TO VIEW. IT’S ENTERTAINING AND TEACHES PEOPLE OF ALL AGE HOW WONDERFUL MUSIC IS AND THE MOVIE MAKES THE AUDIENCE WANT TO DANCE AND SING ALONG. THE SOUND OF MUSIC IS A TRULY GREAT MOVIE AND I HAVE WATCHED SO MANY TIMES I KNOW HOW EVERY SONG GOES! IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED IT, WATCH IT RIGHT NOW, YOU WON’T REGRET IT.

It had a hero & a villian. It had excitement & fun. It had fear & joy. There were tense moments & casual moments. The music was thrilling and catchy; remembered long after the movie was over.

The Sound of Music is the most beloved musical ever made.I love all the scenes, songs anda dances and most of all,I love Julie Andrews so much.
As GONE WITH THE WIND,THE SOUND OF MUSIC is important, timeless,a CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have several favs when it comes to movies, however THE SOUND OF MUSIC holds special memories for me; my mother and I watched it every year. My mother seen it on stage as a play the year I was born (1965) we kept it as our special connection until she passed in 1995. Now my daughter and I are keeping the tradition alive, she is 15 but we watch it everytime it is on. We sing really loud and really bad to all the songs, yeah I know it’s corney but it is special moments that make life worth living and this movie has given me many special moments.

THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVORITE MOVIE.

I fell in love with this movie the first time I saw it. I was about 9 or 10 and went to see it with my catechism class. What’s not to like. The setting, the music, the characters. Love it all!!!

GOOD STORY, GOOD ACTORS, GOOD ENTERTAINMENT

A very moving story full of great music

It has it all. Music, drama, comedy, singing, children, religion, scenery, romance, suspense and most of all family oriented.

The movie The Sound of Music is the best movie made in my opinion. It has wonderful music and has those very popluar songs. The background is absoltuly stunning. The acting very wonderful. Julie Andrews was the only person that could have starred as Maria in it. She deserved an Oscar for that role. Julie Andrews was perfect for the part. Also besides the actting, signing, and background; the story line was great. It is a slow, graceful romantic movie. The music didn’t hurt the movie the slightest bit. I hope after you read this you will learn to like The Sound of Music as much as i do.

I first watched this movie when I was a little girl.I just loved it.I never forgot the song DOREMI.Years later I watched this movie again and it was thanks to the DOREMI song that I remembered this was the same movie I had watched as a little girl. After that I watched THE SOUND OF MUSIC many times. It is an inspiration for me when I write screen pays and songs.

My daughter’s and I love to watch this wonderful film over and over. It will never grow old!! We love watching it the 50th time as much as the first, if not more! It will remain forever our favorite!!

It always makes me feel good, even when I’m having a really bad day! I love the music! Julie Andrews is the best!

The best music…the story…the actors…it’s just superb!

When I first saw this movie in 1966, I thought it was the most perfect movie ever made. The photography was beautiful and the music was fantastic. Julie Andrews was amazing. I fell in love with Lisl. The story was excellent too. Even though Christopher Plummer was not a great singer, he was passable.

It’s a joyful celebration…

It’s a joyful celebration of blended family life and sorely-tested faith, with one of the cinema’s most iconic and heartfelt female lead performances–the ebullient, wondrous Julie Andrews. Superb production values and a brilliantly orchestrated music score keep this film fresh and enchanting more than 40 years after its record-breaking debut. Producer/director Robert Wise topped his own stunning WEST SIDE STORY accomplishment with this one, the best example of a Broadway original made even better with a first-rate rewrite by Ernest Lehman.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC

Seven kids, some nuns, Chris Plummer, Austria, and Julie Andrews. Need I say more?

“The Sound of Music” is one of those movies that just makes you feel good. Oh, sure, people say that it’s sacharine or too long, but I find it sweet and meaningful. Whenever I’m feeling down, I watch it, and have done so since I was little. It’s this incredible movie that introduced me to the wonderful world of Julie Andrews!!! All in all, this is a great movie for the whole family!!!!!

THE SOUND OF MUSIC

One of the best.

I’ts totally corny on the surface, i understand when people roll their eyes at it…but, and a big but here, It’s perfect down to every minor detail, the filiming, the choice of settings, the art direction, costumes, and the performances…if Julie hadnt won the year before, she’d have won the oscar…and then there’s the music, but even as a straight drama sans music, it would still be one of the best.

The classic musical of love and loss.

This is my favorite film because it is a beautiful story of love and loss. It is a true story of Maria and Georg Von Trapp, who fall in love when she comes to work for his family and brings down the wall he had built around his heart. This music is wonderful, and the acting is top-notch. I’ve loved this movie since I was a little girl, and I think I can safely say this film of love and loss against the start of World War II. It is also my Mother’s favorite as well. I guess you can say this movie runs in my family! We all love it very much.

The Sound of Music is my favorite movie of all time.

The Sound of Music is my favorite movie of all time. This is a big deal for me to realize because I’m such a huge movie buff, but every time I sit down to even attempt to make a list of my favorite movies, The Sound of Music ALWAYS rears its fantastically entertaining head. Since I was a little girl, my mother and I watched it every year around Thanksgiving. I know every single song. When I hear a scene, I can visualize it perfectly in my head. This film is timeless. My mother loved it. I love it, and if I have children, they will love it too.

I watch this movie every weekend.

I watch this movie every weekend. Its a masterpeice! Julie Andrews does a lovely job with Christopher Plummer, I personally think that she should have got an Oscar for that role. When I watch this movie it feels real, like it could actually happen to me. It makes me want to be a better person. It has that Dreamy tone that makes you feel like life is perfect until it ends and reality tells you its just a movie. I think it changed me.
