There are no other words that can describe this movie besides absolutly amazing. I think the Wachowski brother are pure genius and if they had not created this movie the face of film would not be the same.

I think this movie defined a whole new SF subgenre with its originality. It’s stunning and groundbreaking visuals became a role model for the new SF movies. The philosophical story was also amazing. A pure classic.

This isn’t my favorite movie, but it was like no other movie before it. I think it will appear on the 100 movies list once the the older judges have been replaced with younger ones (though I don’t know how the movie list was chosen or by whom). I can’t wait until GONE WITH THE WIND drops off forever. Long live THE WIZARD OF OZ!

I was so surprised by the newness of the concepts and the special effects. The darkness, the black and white, the water and the mystery of it all kept me guessing.
I think I’ve watched it two oe three dozen times.
Sorry, my words and writing ability can’t do it justice.
Sidetrack.

Matrix is very uniquely spiritual, action packed movie. What I like about the movie is its concept that is a reflection of the concept of a Hindu philosophy Maya.
Maya is the phenomenal world of separate objects and people, which creates for some the illusion that it is the only reality. For the mystics this manifestation is real, but it is a fleeting reality; it is a mistake to believe that maya represents a fundamental reality. In other words what you see or hear or feel may not be real after all … the same concept that the movie dwells upon in a more modern sense.
Also the first 30 minutes of build up leads to an exciting action packed finish. Great Movie.

The first and the second time i saw this movie i was blown away. No other movie was as ground-breaking as this movie. Almost every movie to date uses the same cinematography and special effects sequences as The Matrix. What makes this movie so great? Almost 10 years after being released, it still gets mentioned in most conversations. Name another movie with that kind of impact.

This movie has one-liners left and right.
This movie has one-liners left and right. I use quotes from that movie everyday (”there is no spoon”, “deja vu means there is a glitch in the Matrix”) and it is thought provoking. The best thing about this movie is that it is original. It is hard to find a movie of this day and age that isn’t a sequel, remake, or awful. This movie is truly a great movie that will be remembered for years to come.
