O BROTHER WHERE ART THOU

It’s one of my favorite movies and it’s nowhere on the list. It has a great story, excellent acting, and very quotable lines. It also has some good cameos and I love the way it was filmed.

This is one of my all time favorites, but I can’t seem to find it on any list. So sad. Such a crying shame.

George Clooney’s portrayal of Ulysses Everette McGill is a Hollywood Masterpiece….one could say it’s the finest performance given in the History of Film. I would go as far as saying , it was even better than Kevin Spacey’s character PROT in the historic film “K-PAX” and neither of these two films are on the top 100 list. And what about William Holdens role as sergeant Septon in the Blockbuster film “Stalag 17″? Which did not make the list. And the total irony of this whole mess is “ROCKY” - “THE LORD OF THE RINGS:THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING” - “AMERICAN GRAFFITI” - and “TOOTSIE make the list…..THIS IS UTTER MADDNESS! OH WELL….everything is one mans opinion. P.S. How can you omit “DANCES WITH WOLVES”? “DANCES WITH WOLVES is a no brainer….and should never leave the top ten spot…..EVER!

Great actors, superb use of comedy and drama to provide a “modern” perspective to a classic literary piece. Outstanding visuals made it seem like it was actually shot during the depression. Soundtrack which was second to none.

It’s pure genius.

It’s pure genius. How many filmmakers could re-tell Homer’s Odyssey so cleverly yet stay true to its origins? The performances are stellar, the script is tight. Every time I watch this film I find some unexpected nuance that makes me shout out loud, “Wow this is brilliant!”
