Every year there is a new movie that came out some better than others, but Jurassic Park is the movie that stands out in my eyes why because of the impact it made on me when i was a kid i was like 4 or even 3 years old when i first saw that movie and wow did it ever capture my imagination. This was the first movie to ever show the full potential of CGI and it did a wonderful job, it was also the first time where it gave dinosaurs a animal personality than that of a monster. I was sourly dissapointed that Jurassic Park did not make it on the AFI’s list. This movie is like a Brothers Grim fairy tale told for the people of the scientific age. Becareful of what you can do for genetics is one of those things that man was never made to tamper with.

It is my favorite because it gives a sense of what the future could be if civilisation kept on going plus its full ofaction and discovery.

This was perhaps the first movie I ever saw. I must have been about 4-5 years old when my parents showed me it, and I was just struck by the world of dinosaurs Steven Spielberg had created. As a young kid you are effectded by all sorts of things, and who havn´t being effected by Jurassic Park? John Williams music is perfect.

To me this movie is so special as I am only 25 years old but this movie made such an impact on my life when I seen it when I was 11. It was the first time I got really excited by a movie just by seeing the trailer and I insisted on going to see it the day it came out. It was exciting, scary, and just so original at the time. It really intrested me on how movies got made and what was put into them. It was just so exciting at the time that no blockbuster to date has been able to top the wonder and excitement that that film did.

From the minute the lights went down in the theatre on opening night and the first heavy bass kicked in as the sparse opening credits ran, I was hooked. I was a mere 10 years old at the time, but it changed the way I viewed cinema forever. Instead of relating to the child characters, as I had in every movie I’d seen up to that point, I related to the ADULTS; that was a pivotal moment for me. Everything about it is great. It has an awesome score, simultaneously subtle and over-the-top acting, superb direction, amazing CGI, memorable lines and dialogue, great cinematography, terrifying scares, and beautiful scenery. It’s the stuff dreams are made of. Certainly mine, anyway.
