James Cameron

This movie has everything; from the most powerful love story of all time to dramatic special effects and good dialogue. They really need to make a re-release for the 10th anniversary.

It’s my favorit movie, because my favorit actor Leonardo Dicaprio played in the film. The film was a romance film & I loved it!

Titanic: best movie I’ve ever seen in my entire life. it’s a great movie, and as we all know the ship sinks at the end, the whole movie is very romantic because as you watch every little innocent scene between jack (leo dicaprio) and rose (kate winslet), you know time is ticking. i think it’s sad and romantic how jack tells rose to never let go of the promise to live her life at the very end and OMG i loooooove every little thing about this storyline. and leo dicaprio is very hot. and kate winslet is stunning as usual.
King Kong (2005): it has EVERYTHING!! suspense, romance, action, adventure, humor, etc. the special effects=woaaaahhh. i dont care how long the movie is, it’s just fabulous. naomi watts, adrien brody, and jack black were GREAT pretending they saw kong or a dinosaur, etc, when there was nothing actually there as they were filming. and yes, i did cry at the end.every time i watch it, i get teary eyed. i think naomi watts should have been nominated for an oscar for playing ann darrow. peter jackson made a GREAT remake.
Little Miss Sunshine: probably one of the best movies in 2006. it’s hilarious. i love how a little indie movie made it as a nominee for best picture at the oscars!!! :] its a spectacular movie of how a little girl from a dysfunctional family shows everyone what it really means to win. and you gotta love abigail breslin dancing to superfreak!!! lms has a great choice of actors and a wonderful screenplay!!!!!!!!! I love this movie! soo different, what other movie have you seen with a dysfunctional family pushing a yellow bus? GOTTA LOVE IT!!
What’s Eating Gilbert Grape: Leo DiCaprio blew me out of the water. He was that good as playing mentally challenged Arnie. Johnny Depp was great too. He was going through a really tough time and made me believe what Gilbert was going through. I just love this movie cuz its so different and deep. You really feel like you’re a part of the family.
Million Dollar Baby: It’s real, it’s sad, it’s perfect.
Forrest Gump: i love watching forrest in different parts of history, no plot but has a point. it has you laughing and crying.

My favorite movie of all time is Titanic..it’s not only your classic Romeo and Juliet story, but it shows the emotions of humans during a sad time in history. It’s just sooo good and I cry every single time I watch it…which is over like, a hundred. Plus, Leo DiCaprio is SO hot in this and Kate Winslet is absolutely stunning. :] I also like King Kong (2005) because the special effects are fabulous and it’s just so fun to watch. Other favorites of mine are: Little Miss Sunshine, Million Dollar Baby, and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.

Well I have to agree with the 2 listed below me the Sting and Titanic are 1 and 1A for me but to add to that The Best Years of Our Lives is 1B.

All 3 great movies for different reasons. I managed a theatre that had Titanic from December from April and I never tired of it

Many people protested against this film. They said it was sexist in nature. However, I still cannot see where they’re coming from. True Lies is a great thrill-ride of a film. James Cameron gives us such a bombardment of comedy with his patented style of action that it’s hard not to love this film.

I’ll be willing to bet that co-stars, Jamie Lee Curtis and Tom Arnold hold this film as their finest moment. They should. Tom Arnold is at his best as Harry Tasker’s comedy sidekick. Jamie is perfect in this comical and yet, very real, very dramatic role as the wife of this secret super agent, Tasker (Arnold Schwartzenegger). When she drops that Uzi down the stairs, that’s movie magic if I’ve ever seen it. It’s hard to believe. It’s hard not to love.

Truly a comedy masterpiece with just the right amount of action to keep the adrenaline going.

One of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard in a review of this film is that it may be too much of a good thing. How can you possibly have too much of a good thing??

I know it might not count of a film is great in its special director’s edition version, but this should be an exception. The Abyss: Special Edition is one of the truly greatest science fiction films ever made. It’s sad that James Cameron had to cut this film to be released in theaters.

Still, what we saw on the big screen was hardly amateurish or bad. It had its strong points and its weak points as all films do. But the original breathtaking ending that Cameron had created is sorely missing.

This is a sci-fi masterpiece. I think it should be given a little more respect.

With the exception of James Cameron’s own Terminator 2, science fiction has only gone down hill since. Forget The Matrix Trilogy. I dare say, forget the Lord of The Rings Trilogy. And, give me a break, forget the recent amateur 2nd Star Wars Trilogy. Aliens is one of the few best films for great science fiction.

Filmmaking at its finest. I wouldn’t change a thing… not even the screenplay.

It’s No. 1 on my list, but I’m hoping the AFI folks will place it high on their list…. possibly in the top ten?

Go Titanic! Go James Cameron!

Starring Sigourney Weaver, Carrie Henn, Paul Reiser, Michael Biehn, Bill Paxton, Lance Henriksen, and Jenette Goldstein, this is still the best of the Alien series. Truly one of the greatest films ever made. I’m shocked it wasn’t listed on AFI’s ballot.
