For sheer emotion this film has the lot. I have watched it over 40 times now and I still get tearful towards the end of the film. If anyone wants to find out why life is worth living, this is the one to watch.

My family and I have probably watched this movie 30 times; it’s a Christmastime must. We all know the dialog by heart, but we never get tired of the movie. It is timeless and full of good family values–except for Potter of course.

BECAUSE IT IS A WONDERFUL LIFE
Wed 17 Oct 2007
Frank Capra’s age-old classic keeps gettings better every time I watch. Only this film could tell a story that feels this human. James Stewart’s portrayal of George Bailey as the unsung hero of sorts is brilliantly performed, with Donna Reed and the rest of the cast perfectly working together to create the wonderful world we now know as Bedford Falls.
I am inspired every time when I watch this film in the realization that each and every one of us on this earth can make a difference, whether or not we know it.
“Remember no man is a failure who has friends” - Clarence was right. And this idea helps me put life in that kind of perspective. Without question, this is my favorite movie. It truly is a wonderful life.

Jimmy Stewart is the number one reason this is my favorite! I think it also sends a powerful and hopeful message to humanity.

A very tough call. Wizard of Oz, the Third Man, Some Like it Hot, All About Eve — how can one choose a single film?
It’s a Wonderful Life has stood the test of time. The acting, by stars and character actors alike, is superb, the story uplifting, and in these times of fear and war, we need the hope this movie supplies, and the affirmation that there really is somebody up there who (still) likes us.

IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE shows the nobility of the common man. This Christmas classic has you rooting for the main character, George Bailey, right from the beginning. Jimmy Stewart, along with Donna Reed, Sam Hinds, and all the other great character actors are so believable as decent, caring people it gives you hope for the human race. To top it off, this movie has the most up ending of any I’ve
seen !

This movie will always be my favorite because I never tire of the story line. I can watch this movie over and over again and it’s like I am watching it for the first time ever time. In my opinion it is ageless. It also has an excellent cast, every actor is perfect in their rolls. I get goose bums at each viewing.

What’s not to love? James Stewart, a story full of romance, humor, and overcoming all of life’s obstacles to realize how wonderful it really is…There’s just no other feel-good movie. It brings you down and then lifts you higher than before.

One of life’s greatest lessons. This is Jimmy Stewart’s best movie, in my opinion.
Engrossing!

A GREAT movie with a great lesson for everyone. “You do make a difference in someones life, no matter what you think!”

It has the best message of all time that we are all linked to each other and we are all important in this world there is no insignificant person. I believe that is one of the messages God was trying to tell us when he sent our Lord to earth as a poor child. Also I think Jimmy Stewart was a wonderful actor.

ITS MANY BEAUTIFUL MESSAGES

Best feel good movie ever made. I feel inspired after I watch it. I hate movies that make you feel lowdown and heavy after seeing them. I watch movies to escape all the bad stuff, and this one does the trick!!

This classic movie capture’s the very core of what life is all about, yet it has great humor ,also. Jimmy Stewart did a fantastic job of portraying George Bailey. It’s about the importance of LIFE and how one person’s life can touch another and have such a positive impact on them and an entire community. In today’s fast paced society, we need to tune in to this movie, pay close attention and take notes,we may learn something that would change a life,or even save one!!!!!

although i know “shawshank redemption”, “the muppet movie” & “l.a. confidential” by heart, it’s the classic favorite (that’s not just for the holidays) that always makes me laugh & cry all the way through. donna reed & lionel barrymore are ideal but it’s the perfectly flawed george bailey that lives in jimmy stewart’s heart that makes this my very favorite film.
when i found out most of my family had never seen it (GASP), i pulled my chair up facing them with the closed captioning on & scared them to death by not missing a word or a breath.
now everyone has a copy & i’m on my third.

I have always loved the black and white Christmas movies, but this one really pulls out all the stops. The movie makes everyone feel important no matter how bad they think thier life might be. The movie also lets you know how important family and friends are to each one of us. I also love this movie because you learn the TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS!!!

This movie depicts what each of us feels (at least most) during a time of depression, and everything doesn’t go our way. We each need something that reminds us what kind of influence we make on each other and the community.

makes you believe that your life has true meaning

The eternally true message that everything you do can have effects that you can never imagine. Beautifully acted with sincerity by a great cast from Bondi and Bond to Stewart and Reed. Tightly told by Capra–and you know he must have believed in every word. Totally real and totally believable for anyone open enough. And, it gave us Bert and Ernie.

I refuse to purchase a copy of this movie, because it’s so special that I only allow myself to watch it once a year on NBC. It’s full of love and warmth, and reminds you that even when it feels as if you’re alone in this world, your life does not go unnoticed. Each person matters, especially the ones who have striven for goodness.

MOST BORING FILM I’VE EVER SEEN…I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE HOMOSEXUALITY, BUT THE ACTING WAS BAD, THE STORY DRAGGED AND THE ONLY POSITIVE THING I CAN SAY ABOUT THIS FILM IS THAT THE SCENERY WAS BEAUTIFUL…BUT TO BE THE BEST FILM OF ALL TIME- NO WAY…WHAT ABOUT THE CLASSICS LIKE MR SMITH AND IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE? IT IS VERY DISAPPOINTING TO SEE BROKEBACK WITH THE MOST VOTES..COME ON PEOPLE, THE BEST FILM OF ALL TIME….
