IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT

The fast paced comedy, often understated by Claudette Colbert and Clark Gable, is a treat for the ears. Loaded with innuendo and sarcasm of the kindest sort!

It no wonder this movie cleaned up on ‘OSCAR’ night. A rollicking treat for anyone who has ever fallen in love, or would like to.

The Big E

In the past 79 years the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have awarded only three films the honor of winning the top five awards. I am referring to Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Screenplay. These films; It Happened One Night (1934), One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975) and Silence of the Lambs (1991), are ranked at only 46, 33, and 74 on your top 100 list.

With not only one of the best directors and an outstanding cast this movie captures all the wit and wisdom that was old Hollywood. It is clever, beautifully shot, and features some of the most impressive dialogue ever put to page. What is most impressive is the performance given by Claudette Colbert, she had you believing that she was the heiress who’s heart changes upon falling for Clark Gable.
