RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK

Speilberg’s finest movie. Great action, Great style. Simply the best.

This movie has found its way on top of my list. Why? Because it was the movie that really wowed me. Every time I watch it, and I’ve watched it over 50 times, it brings that nostalgic feeling. It reminds me of the the feeling I got, watching it with my dad in the old school theaters of the 80’s. It is the ultimate hero, adventure, action movie. The other 2 ain’t bad either, but this is my number one movie of all time.

It has all the components of the perfect movie. Amazing actors, passionate characters, great locations, awesome artistry and a story that you can lose yourself in.

It has everything - humour, excitement, love, thrills and the best leading man (and snakes…)

This movie is just…amazing. Brilliant performance by an often under-rated actor, brilliant direction, brilliant plot. It’s what an adventure movie ought to be. It’s my all time favorite.

How many times have I seen it? I lost count after 300. That is no exageration. My wife will not watch it with me because I will say every line from the movie throughout the entire film. Even the language the Hovitos speak.

Indiana Jones was the first intellectual, brainy hero I encountered. He did all of his homework, studied for all of his tests, heck…his first job was as a teacher. He knew languages and symbols, and used his brains as well as his fists.

And Marion Ravenwood was every bit his equal. Hubba Hubba

Did I mention those guys heads melted and exploded? How awesome was that? I think I’ll watch it again tonight.

It’s action, adventure, romance, and world exploration with real movie-star appeal! This film makes me feel like a kid!

If you’re looking to have a lot of fun, you can’t do much better than this movie. The perfect combination of action, thrills, humor, romance, mystery and a fantastic score by John Williams make this a great piece of first class entertainment anyone can enjoy.

Action, adventure, good story, good effects, and the greatest hero of all time. Plus, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford, and John Williams–a winning combination.

Action, comedy, love story, history, great cinematography, plus I saw it for the first time in Graumanns Chinese Theater.

I am 13 years old and Raiders of the Lost Ark is positively one of the best movies I have ever seen! Action, romance, and adventure just don’t get any better than they do in this movie! John Williams score is absolutely wonderful! Ford and Allen are excellent and without a shadow of a doubt two of the best leading characters (along with Vivian Leigh and Clark Gable in GWTW) in film history. Just a great story and one of the most fun movies to ever watch! I wish they made them like this now adays!

RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK

In the world of film, there is nobody like Indiana Jones.

It’s a movie that I’ve grown up with, and it still makes me feel like a kid, all these years later. Raiders of the Lost Ark is the epitome of adventure, a film that every film fan ought to love. It’s the kind of movie that makes you laugh, cringe, and cheer for.

In the world of film, there is nobody like Indiana Jones. He is as timeless as the story he’s in. An American treasure.

I first saw this movie at a sneak preview, about a week before it was released. The tag line “From the creators of Jaws and Star Wars” got me there to see it. The mix of action, adventure, mystery, and comedy got me to come back time and again. Raiders has everything I look for in a movie.

My favourite film. loved the Indy trilogy since i was very young. it’s fun, adventurous, full of action and damn good to watch. my perfect saturday night film to watch and relax with a pizza.

Love love love love love this film.

This is hands down the best action movie ever made.

This is hands down the best action movie ever made with great all around directing and acting. It should have won an Oscar for best music and you know it. Everyone wishes they could be Indiana Jones.

PS- So I see the “film-critics” put Austin Powers on the new ballot but not the ‘83 Scarface. You guys have some explainin’ to do!

RAIDER'S OF THE LOST ARK

It is now my all time favorite.

This film is meaningful to me because it was a true representation of all the fantasies that my imagination came up with as a kid and was put into a film that is exciting up to the very last scene. Harrison Ford immediately became my favorite actor after seeing this movie because of his swagger and confidence on screen. Archaeology became something of great interest of me, even though true archaeology is not like the movie. History and ancient cultures have always been an interest of mine and to put it on screen without leaving out important details made me have a great deal of respect for the movie. Steven Spielberg and George Lucus, two of my favorite directors, did an amazing job with the film and it is now my alltime favorite.

This movie represents the best of all that makes a movie great.

This movie represents the best of all that makes a movie great. Great story with unexpected but believable twists and turns, wonderful dialogue, a stellar cast at the top of their games, and amazing technical work, from the directing to the stunts and cinemetography. This is not only a fun, entertaining movie, but it is stunning in it’s execution. The craft of the “great” critical choices, and the fun of a block-buster summer hit. It doesn’t get any better than this.

Dr. Indiana Jones goes on the hunt for the Ark. The one artifact that every archeologist what to get his hands of it. It is Indy’s job to keep it out of the hands of the nazis and get it in a museum where it belongs.

It was the firts movie I ever saw as a kid. And it is has everything a movie needs. Comedy, drama, action, the tripple treat of filmmaking in my opinion back up by great direction and story. Watching this film made me what to be a filmmaker and is the reason I am in film school right now.

Indiana Jones battles Nazis in search for the Ark of the Covenant.

This movie is great for many reasons. The first being the characters. Indiana Jones is the hero that everyone wants to be. He isn’t just an action man shooting up everyone in sight. He is also an intelligent man who loves what he does. The other characters are also played to perfection. Another factor is the plot. How many people would love to travel the world in search for some rare artifact. Sure the snakes would be a downfall but the adventure more than makes up for it. Also, the soundtrack is wonderful. Everytime I hear the theme song, I have the urge to get up and go exploring. Without the soundtrack, the movie would be incomplete. Raiders of the Lost Ark is a wonderful movie that is filled with advnture and just a hint of romance. That is why it is my favorite movie.

Indiana Jones is hired by the U.S. Government to find the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis do.

It is the perfect blend of action, drama, humour, and history.

Has a complex three dimensional hero that you could root for.

I did not know what to expect, I took a chance on this film at the theater, how did I know I would become my favorite of all time. It had a great and interesting story, some great lines and some of the best action I had ever seen. Plus it had a complex three dimensional hero that you could root for.

The first and best of the Indy series (so far), with adventure, fun and glory around every corner.

I’ve watched this movie many times and never tire of the characters, themes and adventures portrayed. Outstanding in every way, this movie grabbed me by the throat and dragged me along on Indy’s adventures and still does. This is one of those films that stands the test of time and never looks dated. Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas made an adventure hero for all time.
