GHOST BUSTERS

Not only was this a wonderful comedic cast with a great story, but this helped raise the bar for special effects. For a movie made in the mid 80’s the special effect in this film stand up to what is made today. Funny, is a understatement to how humorous this film is. I saw it as a child and own it on DVD and watch it to this day.

Not to mention I believe it set a few records at the box office in it’s time, I know it didn’t leave our local theater for six months.

Easily one of the stand-out movies of my childhood, Ghostbusters is not only one of the most imaginative movies ever made, but one of the funniest films ever made. Written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, the script is filled with some of the best lines in a comedy; “He slimed me,” “Are you the Keymaster,” “Let’s show this prehistoric bi–h how we do things downtown,” and, my personal favorite, “it’s the Sta-Puft Marshmallow Man.” But, most of all, this film is a showcase for the brilliant comic known as Bill Murray, with his “been there, done that” philosophy dominates the film. It’s really a shame that we don’t get films like this nowadays.

The thing that makes GHOSTBUSTERS such a great movie is the story and the charachers. Not to mention, the speciel effects that were done before computers and all the digital technology that we have today. To top it all off, the wonderful theme song performed by Ray Parker Jr.

GHOST BUSTERS

Three scientists get fired from the University and then go into busness as New York’s heroic paranormal investigators and exterminators.

This movie is meaningful because first you have an outstanding story, great characters that everyone likes and state of the art speciel effects that were done before the digital domain of computer graphics. Combining it with hillarious humor and a great kick ass theme song by Ray Parker Jr. makes Ghostbusters a wonderful film.
