BRAVEHEART

I do not understand how this movie isn’t in the top 100, it’s a catastrophe.

Nearly flawless in filmmaking, storytelling, characters, story, action, romance, and passion. What more could you ask for in a film?

I just submitted this but I didnt use caps so I was making sure it counted it beccause this is my #1 all time favorite movie! Its hard to pick one but because of its story about freedom and bravery I can watch it over & over. It makes me cry and feel proud everytime I see it!

***I dont understand why this is NOT in the top 100! This is an outrage!

I have loved this movie since the first time I saw it and it is definiately my ALL TIME FAVORITE! It makes me cry but also feel proud! This movie is so powerful and I still dont understand how it is not on the list! WOW

One of the greatest epics ever made. Shows how one man’s dream of freedom ignited a whole country

…for not including BRAVEHEART and DANCES WITH WOLVES on this list. Omitting these two cinematic classics from the Top 100 is almost a crime.

Yes, I know it’s a Mel Gibson film, but we are not saying who is the most popular person in the film industry, it’s about what the best movies are. Braveheart has action, romance, and good acting. I watch this movie every time I see it on TV. Truely, my most favorite film, regardless of who’s in it!!

I can’t believe that this did not make the list. This movie is waaaay better than The Sixth Sense. Wonderful cast, beautiful cinematography, awesome musical score. It has it all. The story touches on every human emotion that you can think of. The battle scenes are phenomenal. The passion and courage comes off the screen and makes you feel that you are a part of it. I have seen this movie so many times that I can recite the dialogue along with it. It is one of those movies that you can watch over and over. Many years from now, while lying in their beds, voters will wonder why they left this one out.

I cannot believe that this movie did not make the list. I have loved this movie since the first time I saw it. Wonderful cast, beautiful cinematography, stirring music. Just about any emotion that you can think of is portrayed somewhere in the movie. I have seen it so many times that I can recite the dialogue along with it. Wallace’s passion is to intense that I can almost feel it thru the screen. This is definitely a snub to Gibson.

My favorite movie of all time has to be Braveheart.
The battle scene is still copied by film makers today and it was sincerely one of the greatest endings to an epic for me. The soundtrack was brilliant and it’s just too bad Mel’s gone cuckoo. See “The Passion of the Jew” as satirized by South Park. It’s freaking brilliant.

How do Sparticus, Toy Story, and Sixth Sense all make the top 100 movies of all time and Braveheart is nowhere to be seen? I guarantee that at least twice as many people think Braveheart is much better than all three combined. Sparticus was SIGNIFICANT, but Braveheart is a better movie. And that’s what it’s all about. The audience. Braveheart has it all. I sense foul-play because it’s Mel Gibson’s film. Hmm.

A movie that has it all… Action, Romance, Revenge, even a little comedy.

A movie that has it all… Action, Romance, Revenge, even a little comedy.

I think the fact that Braveheart did not make the list, and yet Tootsie & Silence of the Lambs did make the list is TRULY DISTURBING. Don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed both of those movies, but Braveheart is a masterpiece next to those movies. I also noticed that there were no sports movies on the list (unless you count boxing). Are none of the great sports movies worthy???

No way this movie doesn’t make the top 100. The movie should at least be top 10 but this is truely about the remarks Mel Gibson made rather than the movie itself. Truely sad.

Braverheart was a good movie! That was epic! Mel Gibson at his best!

Just a great movie. I remember after it came out people on the radio were telling everybody how many times they went to the theatre to see it. Love, friendship, loyalty, betrayal, great sound track, great scenery. great acting……I’ll never get tired of watching it.

The history, the epic scope of the picture, the filming, acting and score were all magnificent. It seems there was obviosuly Gibson prejudice by leaving this movie out of the top 100. So very sad…

We should all have the heart it took to make this stand …
(This from an anti-violent individual)

Though I went back and forth between Braveheart and Casablanca as the greatest, Randall Wallace’s epic ultimately triumphed. Both timeless masterpieces have every element one could desire from a film, but braveheart inspires like no other picture I’ve ever viewed, plus it is based on a true story, which lends to the imagination the actual adversity William Wallace faced and overcame.

In both epics we know the words, recite them at will, and pretend we’re part of the story. And isn’t that what a movie is supposed to do- take us to a place away from the world we know, if only for a little while. So Braveheart it is, cause “we’ll always have Paris.”

BRAVEHEART

Braveheart is a modern classic.

Braveheart is a modern classic. The thing I look for in a movie is how it brings out emotion. From William Wallace at his fathers funeral to the end of his life, emotion is evoked. The battle scenes, the score, the acting, the directing, the love that William has for his wife, the speech, they all culminate making this movie one of the best of all time in my opinion. An extremely under rated movie.

I admire the idea of the oppressed rising up to gain freedom.

I admire the idea of the opressed rising up to gain freedom. I am also a big fan of the score.
