The comic genius of Mel Brooks and Co. is something to marvel at.
Count Basie in the middle of the prairie.
A whole town of Johnsons
The crew working on the railroad singing modern music
The toll gate they had to go back and get a shit load of dimes for.
The ending scenes, from Dom Deluise to the cadillac taking them away.

the absolute funniest movie of all time. The only thing that could have made it better would have been Richard Pryor starring, but his writing in plainly visable through the script.

It is the funniest movie of all time, and is one of Mel Brook’s finest. pure and simple, if you at all had respect for comedy movies this would be somewhere on your list

“Candygram for Mongo!”
THE greatest comedy of all time…and a lost “Oscar” nomination for Harvey Korman. The all time provider for screen quotes in our daily vernacular. All fart jokes/gags strated and ended w/ this movie.
Madeline Kahn at her “tired” best. Just the best movie I could watch over and over again.
