Witty, sharp and acerbic script - the delivery of the dialogue is perfect! There isn’t a weak performance in this movie. It is definitely the first great comment on the fame game. I don’t think this film will ever be bettered ( no pun intended!).

..The writing, dialog are just amazing!! I really did not appreciate this film until I was older, whrn I could “get” all of the cleverness. A classic!

This is the best written, dialogue driven film ever made. I depends entirely on smart dialogue and nothing else. No trick etc.

This is my personal favourite for two main reasons: the perfect acting of Bette Davis (I can’t believe she didn’t get the Oscar for this one!!!) and Anne Baxter and the fact that you can’t get your eyes off the screen, not even for one moment - the script is so gooooood!!!! Thank God there are talented people on this Earth who produce this kind of movies.

All About Eve 1950 Is film making at its best..Intelligent, witty, articulate screenplay . Brilliantly acted by perhaps ,the best ensemble cast ever..headed by BETTE DAVIS as Margo, a role that should have earned her a 3rd Oscar.. Anne Baxter, terrific as Eve Gary Merril, GEORGE SANDERS who deservedly won best supporting actor Oscar , Thelma Ritter who almost steals every scene shes in, Celeste Holm perfect as Karen, Hugh Marlowe, and a very young ,gorgeous MARIYLN MONROE as Miss Caswell. Joseph L. Mankiewiez direction is meticulous..Its
outstanding, its a masterpiece..the film is funny, dramatic and overall superb!! I Can watch this film over and over again, and never bored This is the true test of a great film! Has also been copied but never equalled Every aspect of this film deserves praise, the score, the photography, the cast the script and above all the direction. Eve held the record for most Oscar nominations of a film (14) for years..For Me ALL ABOUT EVE is the Best American film ever !!

These are two of my very favorite films. They’re both very powerful, extremely well-acted and have a very satisfying ending.
Bette Davis was never better than when she was Margo Channing in All Above Eve. With one flash of her eyes, she said more than most people who talk for an hour. I have watched this film 100 times and never tire of it.
Tim Robbins, Morgan Freeman and James Whitmore stand out from the crowd in Shawshank Redemption. Why Tim and James were not nominated for Academy Awards for their performances here will always be a mystery to me. If you haven’t seen this film, you are missing a classic and the best damn film made in the last 25 years.

Bette Davis at her best. How can you not love lines like ” You’re obviously not a woman” and ” Bill’s 32. He looked it five years ago, and he’ll look in ten years from now. I hae men.”

Bette Davis has never been better.
Bette Davis has never been better. The script is intelligent and many of the lines are memorable. She should have won an Oscar. half a century later the film still rings with truth.
