This is my favorite movie for the feeling of friendship and what it means to be free even if your not free and the cost of that freedom.

This movie is my favorite because it shows determination. It tells the story of 300 men fighting for their country against a whole Persian army. It shows that its not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog. They gave up everything for their country. Their families would be at home and respect the fact that they did that. I also love the special effects in the movie. The scenes they did on computer were really amazing. Everything just seems to blend and go together. The characters costumes and they way the script was wrote made you feel for a second you were in that time period and there with them.

Filmed 40 years ago, the foresight of technology was mindboggling. Considering we went to the moon with a 286, the HAL9000 was beyond any fortune teller. Could technology control man? But, the biggest question was the spirituality of the monolith? Was it representing good, evil, or a combination of both?

This movie was one of my favorites long before I had children. The songs, yes, but the insights into each of the characters are so poignant. And guess what - I ended up raising 5 daughters. Who knew (from the movie Angels In the Outfield).

I really enjoyed this movie it was really intense. I thought it was better than the older batmans. There was alot of action in this movie. What surprised me was that there was more than one villian. It had a really good plot that could be followed. I liked it when they went back to his childhood times and told how it all started out that was cool. The movie was really good.

This is one of my favorite movies because it has such a great story line and the effects, actors, and everything about it is just great. It follows the play very well. I love the singing and just everything about it. It flows very easily and tells in good detail about the backround of most of the characters. It shows different stages throughout the film clearly and everything was just great! This is a classic movie that everyone will love!

One of my favorite movies of all time…Robert De Niro’s performance in Raging Bull is, to me, his greatest performance ever and the grestest perfromance ever in a movie.

I’m such a HUGE Martin Scorsese fan. Probably one of his biggest fans ever! Ive seen practically all of his movies that he has ever made. Even when he started out back in the 60’s, ive seen those movies. Ive seen pretty much every movie that Scorsese and De Niro have made together. And every movie Scorsese and DiCaprio have made together, and i’m only 18 and seen all of these films.
I think his best films are:
1. The Departed
2. Gangs of New York
3. GoodFellas
4. Casino
5. Raging Bull
6. Mean Streets
7. Taxi Driver
8. The Aviator
9. Cape Fear
I love his way of directing and the way he can tell a story through film. He has never let me down yet with his movies.

300 is probly my favorite movie because it had a lot of history intertwined in the story line. I also like it because it showes the passion that the 300 men had for their country and were willing to do “anything” to fight for it, including standing up to a whole persian army. Great movie 9/10

The fast paced comedy, often understated by Claudette Colbert and Clark Gable, is a treat for the ears. Loaded with innuendo and sarcasm of the kindest sort!
It no wonder this movie cleaned up on ‘OSCAR’ night. A rollicking treat for anyone who has ever fallen in love, or would like to.

The Cohen Brothers, for the most part, have always made incredible films and FARGO is the crown jewel of their achievements. With the perfect balance of humor, drama and violence (but not too much of each), FARGO has for over a decade proven to be the crime/ransom movie to beat. William H. Macy and Frances McDormand are expertly cast and with a supporting cast of many colorful characters, FARGO continues to find ways to keep the viewer interested in not only the film, but these people’s lives long after the end credits have finished.

This movie so close to my heart. The isolation that is felt in such open country is captured so well and the romance is so heart-felt. It is my absolute favorite movie of all time!

The best movie is 12 Monkeys. The plot is great, actors are really good (especially Brad Pitt). Music is magnificent, something that you might not expect to hear in such movie.

This is the most beautiful love story I have read or seen. The film was breathtaking in its splendor and the acting was just supurb. The roles were incredible and the actors without peer.

Performances so real by all involved that none of it looked like “ACTING”. Combine that with a powerful, moving story in a perfectly paced understated film brought to life by a brilliant director and you have a film that will grow in stature over the decades ahead.

A wonderful movie which pushes the boundaries of societies limited ability to think for one self. A movie which truly shows actors that in it for the craft of acting, making it an unforgettable and thought provoking movie.

It is the perfect combination of drama and charming humor. I love the changing dynamic between Scarlet O’Hara and Rhett Butler and the parts are played superbly. The individual shots are beautiful. Also, the music is excellent. Tara’s Theme, written by Max Steiner is in my opinion the most moving movie theme ever written, and it is by the virtual father of movie music.

I have to say that I love a great deal of movies. I have so many favorites that it’s nearly impossible to pick. However, no film has haunted me as much as Brokeback Mountain. Most movies I see are wonderful entertainment and I can return to life as normal when I leave the theater. This wasn’t the case with Brokeback Mountain. Days after seeing it, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. So I saw it again. It affected me even more the second time around. It just hits me in a very deep place like no movie I have ever seen. The music alone is enough to send me back to this heartbreaking story. In fact, I haven’t seen it for over a year, because it’s impact on me is so intense. It’s an experience that I try to live on by seeing it once a year. I truly LOVE this film.

It is simply a great film — Bogey at his best paired with an alluring young Ingrid Bergman. Crisply written, with excellent acting from all involved, and a timeless storyline told against the backdrop of war torn North Africa. And who could ever forget Dooley Wilson’s rendition of “As Time Goes By.” A romance for the ages! So — here’s looking at you, kid!

Katherine Hepburn, Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart…what more could you ask for??
Thu 21 Feb 2008
It had a great cast, great story, and some of the best actors, and actress. A great love story of the way it could have happen during war time. I could watch it over and over

I thought this was a well put together movie that had a magnificent storyline, excellent acting, good action scenes and it really makes you think about things.. like how the world might end up in the not-so-far future. By far one of my favorites. If i were a critic i would give it 5 stars.

It is a little too commercial to be considered top 100, but that is only because those lists look at a movie like this (and someone like Bill Murray) as riff-raff. MISTAKE! It replays so well. It has a lot of substance, which automatically gets overlooked once you are a comedy. There is a religious subtlety to the movie too. There is simply a lot going on so it makes you think about your life and about what is important. Slam dunk great one, and I really do not care if others miss it- their loss. A gem!

This movie has some of the greatest quotes of all time. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075686/quotes

The evolution of the C.S. Lewis character throughout the movie is so well done. Anthony Hopkins and Debra Winger are just phenomenal. The layers of thought demand that you watch this movie over and over.
Mon 18 Feb 2008
It is the greatest production of all time. The genius of David O. Selznick, the perfect cast, supporting players, production crew, special effects before the advent of computers and digital age. Simply the best of the best, almost seventy years since its release, GWTW still reigns supreme!

This movie adaptation of Larry McMurtry’s novel, “Horseman, Pass By”, was much better than the novel. The screenplay by Irving Ravetch and Harriet Frank, Jr in which Hud was made the central character of the movie made the movie great. Hud was the cool, good looking bad boy with the most memorable lines. I am surprised that none of these great lines made your top 100 Movies Quotes list. How about these lines:
1. The only question I ever ask any woman is “What time is your husband coming home?” 2. You don’t look out for yourself, the only helping hand you’ll ever get is when they lower the box. 3. Happens to everybody. Nobody gets out of live alive.
