Where is THE QUIET MAN? This is one of the most beautifully visual films of the last 50 years. Shot on location in the West of Ireland it encapsulates the country’s beauty and sense of tradition, as well at tells a great love story. The performances by John Wayne, as Sean Thornton, and Maureen O’Hara, as Mary Kate Danagher, are some of their best work. This film was near and dear to director, John Ford’s heart and it shows. This film never gets old and one I have seen about a hundred times.
