I was 10 years old and Alex P. Keaton was my #1 heartthrob. My mother approved of this movie and took me to see him on the big screen. Everything about this movie touched my ten year old heart — M.J.F., of course; Christopher Lloyd, although previously unknown to me, was particularly well-suited for his goofy role and reminded me a bit of my scientific dad; George McFly, the underdog, who got my sympathy as underdogs always do with me; Thomas Wilson, who personally replied to my fan email years later and was super nice; but most of all, the character that clinched this movie as my sentimental fav of all time — the DeLorean. If anyone rich out there wants to buy me one or give me theirs, please reply to this post! My dream car is a DeLorean; in the meantime I settle for a Toyota truck (Marty’s own dream car). Maybe one day, I’ll be able to realize my dream of clocking 88 mph in my very own DMC. After all, as Doc’s always saying, if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything.
