This film was released in 1942 starring Ronald Colman and Greer Garson. This would rank as one of the best romantic ,teary love story films I have seen. Please get it,it’s available in DVD and is in B & W and the quality is beautiful.It is set in world war one about a British officer who loses his mind,escapes an asylum, is rescued by a girl. They fall in love ,have a baby but he knows nothing of his previous life. Gets run over on his first job,regains conscious in a hospital and regains his previous life & memory. He forgets about 5 years of his life after the asylum. Wont say much more only that his former wife spends the rest of her life finding him and things happen that make him remember that part of his life. The way he keeps looking at a key that he has since the asylum and wondering what it unlocks. Watch it and find out and if this film doesn’t make you cry, I’ll walk to China, I have it well and truly in my top ten. Never seen a story so well put together and acting to match, a masterpiece.
