I have not seen all of the movies on the AFI top 100, but I hope to do so.
But JAWS is on the list and it would close to number 1 along with BraveHeart which I didn’t see on the list.
JAWS affected me in so many ways, I was young when I saw it and it was a scary movie but have seen it serveral times since then and have seen how like good it is. It has everything, I realize that it is not about the shark but about the character and how htey are developed. It is truely great story telling, which I beleive is the hallmark of any grat movie you get involved in the story and become apart of it and relate to the charaters.
Nevermind the fact that I live on an island and the year I saw it I was afraid to go into the water, and when you did any sort hint of anything elso being in the water brought terror into your mind and got out of the water as quick as you could.
On another note, I am big Seven Samurai Fan and that director lead the for many great director, you see his work in most all action movie. Unfortunately he is not American.
