THE MUSIC MAN (The original 1962 version with Robert Preston)
Posted by Yisroel Feldman under Musical , THE MUSIC MANThis is a really great all around movie with theatrical workmanship and detail that is triple A1. For example, in the first “76 Trombones” march, as the actors are coming out of the school building, they are doing cart wheels! The presentation of the “Ya Got Trouble” song is certainly one of the very best “circus acts” in theatrical history.
In a very beautiful manner, the picture teaches a key lesson of life: with every person, there comes a time when he or she must finally stop the fooling around and get serious and start doing something constructive.
