This is not a best movie note. But I find the 136 hits for this film disturbing, because I think they represent a political statement, not a best film opinion. This is a beautiful love story, gorgeously filmed, lovingly told and with the greatest onscreen kiss OF ALL TIME in my humble opinion. But it is a film you often have to suffer through because of its pace. And I understand that was a stylistic choice so that the audience would feel the ache of these characters, and their struggles. But I can’t rewatch this film except in pieces because it is so painfully slow. BEAUTIFUL but slowwwwwww…..
