The story line is so powerful and ahead of its time. A white male attorney representing and believing in a black man wrongly accused of a crime at a point of time our culture was attempting to change but not quite ready to do so. A little girl’s perception of how other’s saw her father which changed from a child’s point of view to the respect of a community. When the majority of a town doesn’t see things the way they should, they rely on the things that make them comfortable.
