A masterpiece..may be the single best film ever made, and quite appropriately it is by one of the most creative directors of all time. This movie is amazing from the beginning definition of pulp to the end credits and boasts one of the best casts ever assembled. It resurrected the career of John Travolta and highlighted the acting talent of Samuel L. Jackson. Why is so great “Pulp Fiction”? lots of irony and the characters - they are human beings like we are, talking about Burger King and McDonalds, about TV series and foot massages..they just earn their money with killing others or selling drugs…

It is just so… awesome. When you watch it, you have to watch it again right away.

GWTW is the model for every epic, romance or human condition flim. The spectacle, acting, music and pure movie magic have never been surpassed.

Mag.7 has human interaction, pathos, good acting, fantastic music and scenery. More than a western - a great movie experience.

Zulu is a spectacular presentation of the human spirit. Great photography and music wrap the good acting and inspiring story in a mesmerizing event. With all the world attacking english/american values, this film is a shot in the arm for our image.

if we agree lord of the rings 1 is a wonderful film we must agree this about other two film of trilogy because journey continues and many say that last installment is greatest.best fantasy film with a marvellous story

I am able to tell you about Ang Lee’s story. I am a Chinese and my english skill is not good enough. So I translate Chinese into English and use Alta Vista.

Ang looks original book and then go to find the best place to film brokeback mountain. He insists that he must does his best to fulfill what his dad demands. Everything he does that and then he writes note to find out what is the best way to produce the brokeback mountain.

God never promises you have good luck forever. However, he loves to see diligent person in his work. When good luck meets a diligent person, he only achieves more than what he has.

Brilliant movie, excellent case mainly too Al Pacino. Brilliant creation and words: “Say hello to my little friend!”, which on always be in my member. However, beautiful climate of 80th years has fascinated me most. I advice all this movie, there is classic and each should know this!

SIMPLY IT’S GREAT.IT’S ACTING IS UNBELIEVABLE.

Chuck Palahniuk’s Masterpiece, made into one of the best movies ever made by David Fincher. Total Film ranked it #1 and AFI fails to recognize it as one of the best.

This was Tim Burton’s best film. Although there were some gimmicks, everyone gave a great performance and this was one of the most poignant parent/child conflict stories ever told. Perhaps Albert Finney’s best performance ever, even though he didn’t receive an academy award.

Easily one of the greatest of the Film Noir genre and the best performance of Joseph Cotten’s career. Orson Wells also had a sensational performance. The directing and writing was brilliant and some of the best lighting ever. This should definitely be considered.

No one but Lucas has ever been so able to bring the screen into a perfected dream, into such a powerful and coherent vision of the greatest tragedy of the past Century. Every single pictures is as beautiful as nowadays’ cinema can be, it is indeed the quintessence of numerical movies.

It’s the greatest movie in the world.

One of the most difficult roles- EVER! And Daniel Day Lewis gave a brilliant performance. The supporting cast was outstanding. Moreover, while the story is incredibly uplifting, it is not maudlin.

This movie is more than an animated film for kids. It manages to tell human life’s story with no human beings and it is always a great pleasure for me to watch it again and again.

The smartest script, the strongest performance(s), and the most creative directing ever…There has never been a movie like that. And there never will be…

Pan’s Labyrinth is such a unique and detailed movie. It deserves a more wide audience.

THE PRINCESS BRIDE is a classic to be watched over and over and not get old. And SHAWSHANK, when you combine all that talent how can anyone not like them. Both tell stories of hope amidst adversity (and have a few laughs in between)

This is a really hard question to answer, for me anyways, but if I had to pick one favorite film, it would have to be FARGO. One of the reason’s why I love this film so much, is the actors, especially Frances McDormand. Simple, yet beautiful performance, my favorite performance by an actress.
This film, I believe, is one of the best written films of all time. It’s very simple and yet very beautiful. The whole film is a simple, yet beautiful film.
It is a great example of an American film.

The Godfather is amazing… The story is amazing, because you have compation for The Family, it’s a great cast and it’s a cool 30s directing style Francis Ford Coppola has….

It’s just too funny……………..and I like to laugh

I’m not surprised it’s now at number two. This is a compelling, landmark film. Story, casting, direction, acting, dialog, costumes, sets, lighting and editing are all world class. Characters you care about, characters you hate. The Old Country, the New Country. Intelligence. Cowardice. Fear. Costly mistakes. Loyalty. Betrayal. Vengance. Graphic but not gratuitous Violence. Birth, Death and Survival. The evolution of organized crime in the United States. Clearly, the best modern movie in my estimation. This film is powerful and flawless, and not for the faint of heart. It does not cut corners or insult your intelligence as a viewer.

I love this movie becuase of every reason I could possibly think of. (With the exception of acting talent)

1.) The action (including 2 of the world’s most popular & spoofed action events in cinema history: Tom cruise on the train & Tom Cruise descending on a wire to hack into a CIA computer)

2.) The VERY LITTLE ROMANCE - I don’t particulary HATE romance in movies, but there are boundaries you just don’t cross and “Romance in Action films” is one of them. (with the exception of the end of the James Bond movies where he always gets the girl)

and finally…

3.) If I’m going to root for a spy, I might as well root for an American spy.
>also, don’t get confused: I’m talking about the 1st movie; to me I did not like the 2nd one at all & the 3rd one was pretty good. :)

I’m happy to see my favorite western ever rising in stature on the AFI Top Hundred list. I always felt that the film was by far John Wayne’s best, and vastly under appreciated.

WHAT! Leave this out! It is one of the BEST stories ever shown in film. I love it and could watch it over and over forever.

It makes me laugh and cry. It is a girl movie then MEN like! I can watch it over and over again.

We were soldiers, saving private ryan, walk in the sun, thin red line, apocolypse now and black hawk down

Much of contemporary criticism of this movie revolves around bitterness for its dark horse Oscar win for Best Picture in 1982. Watching this film years later, though, it is difficult not to be grabbed by the passion of its characters, and not to be reminded why it garnered such praise in the first place. When Eric Liddell throws his head back in ecstacy as he runs the race of his life, he shows us the inward freedom of his own life. Along from its iconic score, the acting, directing, and writing are superior. This film stands out not as the recipient of a Best Picture Oscar, but as an example of genuinely good art.

This is a truly AMAZING film!! It is a touching film about 22 of the people that were at the Ambassador hotel the night of Bobby Kennedy’s assination. This film really shows how passionate this man was. I cry every time I get to the final scene. This film will stay with me forever. Beautiful in every way.

As a child, I loved the movie because I love baseball. While I still love it as a baseball movie, I appreciate the movie so much more now that I am aware of all the mythological symbolism. Aside from all that, I think The Natural has some of the greatest actors, some of the best cinematography, one of the most underrated scores, and some of the greatest lines in movie history. I can watch it over and over again and I never tire of it.
