Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Governor Tarkin, R2-D2, C-3PO, Chewbacca, Ben Kenobi, legions of Stormtroopers, a moon-sized space station called The Death Star, a Corellian ship named The Millennium Falcon, X-Wing Fighters, TIE Fighters, a dramatic space battle in a metallic trench, and that classic opening shot of the little Rebel Blockade Runner being pursued over the planet Tatooine by a seemingly endless Imperial Cruiser, makes this film my favorite movie of all-time. STARW ARS is so much fun to watch that I can never tire of the story, the characters, the lines, or even the classic score by veteran composer John Williams. The characters, the story, the music, the experience of watching this movie are as timeless as time itself. This is the first move I have ever seen in a theater where the walls of the theater seem to disappear and catapult the viewer into the action. The “used” or “lived in” look of the future George Lucas created makes this film even more “realistic” in the terms that it feels that it can happen. If you only watch one more film in your lifetime, make it STAR WARS. It brings out the innerchild in everyone who experiences it. So, learn the ways of The Force and see the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, or the young Jedi that helped the empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights, the resuce of a princess. It’s the story of a boy, a girl, and a galaxy, and isn’t it nice to know that you don’t have to pay millions of dollars to the Unbited States or Russian Space Programs to take THIS ride into space? Why fly to a moon when you can land on a space station? STAR WARS. The “true” final frontier.
