Ground Hogs Day is about living life the best one can. The main character has to live the day he is trapped on, Ground Hogs Day, as best he can, to be able to go on to the next day. It is a very beautiful love story, as well as being very funny. What an interesting day to be living over and over again.

This is a really great film. It’s about a lot of things in life. Living in the now, doing what you really want, working at something one day at a time (piano lessons!), living in freedom, being compassionate toward someone - it may be their last day on earth, etc. etc.
It’s a shame that comedy isn’t as highly thought of as drama when these AFI lists are made. Comedies show us just as much as dramas do!
