Really, look at the ballot qualifications. It discusses social impact, how a film did via all mediums, and overall influence. Now, I like Singin in the Rain (I really do), but it has no where near the cultural relevance of Star Wars. For as many fans as Star Wars has, I feel there is a Star Wars backlash and that always holds it down. Watch Family Guy, Watch The Office, Watch How I met Your Mother, they all have TONS of Star Wars references. How much money does Pirates of the Caribbean make? A ton….. And it’s a Star Wars clone!!!!! Honestly, you can hate Star Wars, that’s fine (but you’re a clown). But if you cannot say that it is more influential than say….. Singing In The Rain, then you are on crack. Ask your teenaged sons and daughters, ask your friends, ask your partners, do they know the diddy to Singin in the Rain or do they know that the force will be with them….. Always?!?!?!?!?

Should have been nominated in the top 400 but weren’t…..
