The quintessential movie about movies.
This is the quintessential movie about movies. It tells the story of Charlie Kaufman’s attempt to adapt a novel into a screenplay, while fighting the commercialisms of Hollywood. The beautiful tale of how to write a film changed my life, and taught me just how important a film can be. Its about more than cinema, it’s about living.

“Raging Bull” for me is best!.
However,”Adaptation” as a would be screenwriter is the best movie about writing movies out there and is no doubt on my list of top 25 American flicks ever!.I loved it and can watch it Ad Naseum.
Cage, and Streep both should have won oscars, and a
Best Picture nom which was neglected was well deserved.Kaufman won two years later for “Eternal Sunshine”,but should have gotten it here first! Matty P.
